AUBURN, Ala. - On Sept. 26, 2025, Auburn Police officers responded to a traffic crash involving multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle, on the southbound side of Interstate 85 near mile marker 53. Responding officers located the driver of the motorcycle, a 25-year-old male, deceased as the result of injuries suffered during the crash.

The Auburn Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit responded and an investigation was initiated. There were no additional injuries reported, and the circumstances leading to the fatality are actively being investigated. Evidence is currently being gathered and analyzed to determine if criminal action occurred.
